U.S. Sen. Robert Menendez is planning to tour an immigrant detention facility in Elizabeth today as part of his push to improve detainee health care.
Menendez (D-NJ) is proposing a bill that would mandate better health care for those held in immigration custody. The measure is in response to nationwide reports of immigrants receiving substandard health services or dying in custody.
